Ancient truss

Lodi and North Salina Streets

Here is an interesting case of recycling. This ancient truss was installed in the 1920s or 1930s, and was originally an ornamented bracket that held a single signal head. Sometime in the 1940s or ’50s, the installation was modified into its present form. The signal head probably dates from 1979. View is looking southbound on North Salina; the red light is for southeast traffic on Lodi. Photo taken 1 June 2002.
